I am so touched and moved and I felt so strange when I arrived in Bremerhaven. I crossed the entire country and I can touch almost the sea. I saw the big container ships and I felt the desire to enter one and to ship ... doesn´t matter where too. So many kilometers, so may people I met. It is the 52nd stop over since I am on the road and I stay with Matthias and his wife Ke. And can anyone believe that 3 Euro rent for the square meter of an apartement is normal for here..... amazing but sad too if you hear about the numbers.. highest number of poor children in Germany, highest number of people on social welfare, incredible high amount of criminal delicts and the poorest city in Germany by loosing what it made strong in former times: The entire ship industry. It is still on place 4 of the biggest and most important container harbours in Europe. But the upcoming automatisation will kill all the jobs... and what can you do, if you worked your entire life in the ship industrie? There are not much places you can do. So if you have a good job here, you can live very cheap and good ..... but what happens to them who don´t have this? It is really sad ...... But well, I am happy to be hear. The two of them are great hosts and I have never been before here, so I am looking forward to see more of the city :-)
